P38 Front Wiper Assembly

The front wiper motor is attached to a metal plate which seems to be bolted to a bracket which is attached to the car body. The two bolts - are they bolts or nuts ? They’re So rusted I can’t tell. Thanks

I feared they might be - rock solid rusted in after 20 years! Started grinding them down just to get the motor out. Thinking that’s not so clever now!

grind them flush then drill them and drive a coarse tap through after liberal doses of plus gas it should screw the bolts through
