P38 Front fogs not working????

My p38 4.0se has colour coded bumpers with fogs fitted, switch is there and lights up but fogs dont turn on, ive checked the bulbs and looked for a fuse but nothing seems blown, confused.com

any suggestions would be apreciated

Are you using them with headlamps they won't come on without headlamps being on.

According to RAVE they should come on with either side or headlamps on. They are fed direct from BECM. They have to be activated in BECM using Testbook or other diagnostic system before they will work as i understand it. If they did work but have gone off, and there is no power to them when switched on, you will have to get faults read.

ill assume they werent fitted from new then and need to be programmed into the becm. cheers

Hi M8, Have you got a voltmeter, if so see if you have volts at plug and sockets by fog lamps, mine were badly corroded there due to spray and foul weather. Ended up fitting crimp bullets and shrink wrap. All OK now, might be worth a look.
