I bought my P38 as a winter car, the old Disco was well old.
I miss having front fogs so will the cables be there?

If it's an auto without the cooling fan you can fit them if you vent the bumper cover. Do NOT fit them unless this is done. Manual no problem fitting them.
They aren't just plug and go, the loom is all there, but you need to tell the BeCM the option is fitted, and you can only do that if you have HiLine. If it is a LoLine then you'll have to install your own wiring to bypass the BeCM altogether. Does mean you can't use the OEM switch on the dash too, since they are momentary switches.

Its a diesel auto I wondered why it has plenty of bits and bobs but no fog lights?
So only option is to hang some under the bumper?

Certainly the safest option, then you can fit some decent LED units, the standard P38 fogs are useless IMO.

Mine is diesel auto and has fogs fitted, as i said earlier if it's not the one with the cooling fan on the oil cooler, they can be fitted but you MUST ventilate the bumper cover.

Cut an aperture out of it and fit a grille. I put photos of mine on here yonks ago.

There should be a grille in the lamp aperture. Measure it and cut an aperture to the right of the lamp aperture then cut the grille to suit and glue it in. Or get some stainless mesh and secure than behind bumper cover over new hole. You can also put a small vent in the depression to the left of the lamp aperture. But if it has the cooling fan on the oil cooler the lamps will not fit.

They work well on single track roads when it is properly dark and foggy. Other than they're not needed so why bother?!
As above. On auto,forget it. On manual you need HiLine BECM. Even then it can be an arse. Retrofitted to my DT.

But... If you fit them under bumper you'll rip em off when off roading...
I hid my extra lights in here! I didn't want to drill any holes in the bumper or panels.
They aren't fog lamps but they are a touch brighter on the road at night. Mind you, I did make a new grill.. if you visit the odd off roading sections don't hang them under the bumper.
