On my 2001 P38 my door mirrors automatically track down to kerb level when reverse is selected. When drive is then locked the mirrors raise back up. Is there any way I can stop this happening?
There is but I cannot remember how. I think you select reverse then manually adjust the mirror to where you want it so next time you select reverse it will not move but I could be wrong. On my 2001 P38 my door mirrors automatically track down to kerb level when reverse is selected. This is my reason for askingNeed to do mine as you can’t see phook all and the passenger one doesn’t come back up.
Don't think soCan you not just leave the adjustment switch selected on the passenger side mirror?
Can’t remember if that stops it from moving when engaging reverse

No, mines constantly set to passenger side as I always have to set it back up manuallyCan you not just leave the adjustment switch selected on the passenger side mirror?

My memory didn't fail me, then
The tinned fish is paying dividends. My memory didn't fail me, then
I’m on the hunt for two decent Oslo blue wing mirrors as mine have smacked every country hedgerow going. The nearside is loose as an MFI wardrobe. Both mirrors dip & return perfectly ok on my old green P38. No memory seats in Blue Autobiography, so mirrors have no memory function . Shame LR didn't put the memory in the BECM instead.
