p38 diffs

Hi I have a p38 range rover 2.5 DSE and I am in need of a front diff, both half shafts and a front prop what options do I have?
Can I fit any p38 diff i.e. of a 2.5 4.0 or 4.6 assuming all the parts came of the same vehicle and or the front and rear diff interchangeable assuming the splines or the same

id get another axle,diffs will all fit but are handed front back on crown wheels

If the front diff has failed, check that the VCU has not seized when you fit the replacement.

no when i got the p38 diff was missing and both half shafts plus front prop

I remember reading somewhere that the 4.6's had heavier duty front and rear diff's - anyone know if this is true or a load of bull?!

they use 4 pin diff center

4.6 2pin front diff 4 pin rear diff. All others 2 pin front and rear.

Usual reason for removing the front prop is a seized VCU

I read somewhere that it was to do with the additional strain imposed by the traction control. The 4.6 apparently gained a 4 pin front diff when they added 4 wheel traction control.

were getting side tracked can i fit a front axel to my 2.5 DSE 1997 from any p38 4.0lt or 4.6 not bothered if its 2 or 4 pin
