Does anyone know if there is a difference between the early and late electronic lift sensor apart from the colour of the plug and the price of it? Reason being I bought a brand new one for the early type and I'm debating getting rid of my earlier P38 but if it's a case of just changing the plug on the end I will keep it in my spares as they seem to be getting harder to get hold of

I think you have to file/cut off the locating lug on the plug so it fits.only difference.

The only difference is the connector. I ran an early one in my MY99 project car and it was fine until it started leaking.
