Hi all, (new member) ( P38 2.5 Auto)
I am undertaking the replacement of my injector nozzles (already purchased) but I could really use some help tracking down the right spring shim kits to correctly set the pop pressure and the crush washers to seat the injectors back in the head.
it would also be amazing if some one had a pop tester I could Borrow, hire or buy (Berkshire, south Buck's ish area) rather than try and source a cheap one from India or china that's not great or worry about it never turning up.
And does anyone know the correct pop pressure please?
Thanks all. Lez

Give them to someone who knows what hey are doing,

Take them into a shop that has the expensive kit

People that try to rebuild their own with diy/cheap pop testers/expensive ultrasonic baths and clock making kits disappear and never return

Best solution seems to be buy 1 refurbed unit, install that then have the one you took out refurbed on an exchange basis and replace like that one at a time. You should see an improvement every one. No one ever had any problems doing it this way.

You could go new but I know you’ve already seen the price as youve bought nozzles instead ;)

If you do go ahead,
please be the first ever to report back on what melted and/or exploded. Pics would be great :)

+1 best to get them refurbished and exchange get a warranty unless you have all the kit to change them.

I doubt anyone would loan the kit out but they might set them up for you if you went round with them ready to go. With all the Motorsport around Silverstone there must be someone in the MK area. Or down in London given you seem to be near the M40.
