It can't hurt to take the lid off and have a look. You'll be able to tell pretty quickly if it's blown the track as it will be black and burnt where it's gone.
Repair costs... if I were to look at it and it's repairable - between £20-£30 plus return postage to fix/test it. Worst case if it's too far gone to repair, then I charge £50 plus return postage for a replacement power board. If it's worse than that, I'd let you know and give you options - but if it's just that one circuit that's playing up, I'd say it's either repairable or replacement power board at the worst.
I'm not sure what other places would charge for repair, but at least you have my quote for comparison
