It is pointless messing about with a shagged battery and I will wager the fusebox you bought was on eBay because someone had bought a new one to sort there problem out and have now passed it on to you. Battery is 7 months old. I got a heavy duty one with the hope that I would have no problems with it in the near future.

Fuse box is from a breaker on ebay, advised that it was off a running P38 but I am able to return it for another.

BECM - I will have to check this once I use the battery from my wife car to test is battery is playing up..

I'm trying to get it running as cheaply as poss as I need to sell! I have no job anymore!! lol

Your car changer says that it's charged because it can't charge anymore (think of it as topped up). The battery is gone.
Your wife's car battery may not have enough juice to run all the electric gizmos in the P38A properly, which will in turn send you on another goose chase.
Get a proper battery with the right Amps (new or borrowed from a trusted source maybe ?) and refit your original fusebox.
