Is it possible to program the gear box to change gear better? Mine is a bit silly going from 3rd to 4th feels like its got a gear between the to gears for a second or to. Weird????
It will be in 4th then around 50 mph torque convertor will lock giving the impression of a change up. Quite normal. On the V8 you can reset the ECU adaptive values if you fit a new box but you can't do that on the diesel version.
Ya dun oil filter etc. This makes senses in what ur saying, I will run the box till it go,s bang and fit a new one. How much r box's these days. Cheers

Only on the 4.6 according to my copy of RAVEIt will be in 4th then around 50 mph torque convertor will lock giving the impression of a change up. Quite normal. On the V8 you can reset the ECU adaptive values if you fit a new box but you can't do that on the diesel version.

Mine does a weird thing, as you approach 40mph at medium throttle it feels like it changes up and then back half a gear. If your gentle on the throttle it changes up to forth then a few mph later the torque converter locks up like normal.
It will only do it at medium throttle, if you give it the full beans it feels like its got 5 gears & then the lock up.
Its been the same for the year I've had it, and done 10k miles
Changed gearbox oil & filter when I first got it, it made the changes smoother but behaviour was the same.
I just live with it, back off the gas as it gets to 40mph & its fine
Oh ya forgot to ask how much do I put in?
