p38,airbag,nanocom

Third time of posting but it doesn't seem to accept it ,so if there comes three of my posts back to back BIG APOLOGIES

Got a 95 p 38 diesel manual RR
Goes well but got a mot coming up and my srs light is dimly lit and I have air bag fault displayed.
Bite the bullet and bought a nanocom . Works great but on the airbag ,ive tried all three variations, just displays "cannot establish commuications"
Ayone have any ideas please

Bad comms? have a look at the OBD II port. Check the back for bad connections at the back of the plug.

Possibly the SRS ECU has failed. You did read the instructions and you had the ignition key in the correct place?

If you have crash sensors on the front chassis legs it is MPS1. That is the more likely on your vehicle. SPS1 has the sensor in the ECU and SPS2 has seat airbags a seat belt pre-tensioners.
