Cut the airline as close as possible to the brass collar, there should be enough length for you to re-fit to the new airbag no problem. Just watch out for the raised collar on the airline itself which if it is too close to the end will stop the pipe going in all the way:D:D:D

If you ever need airline fittings take a peek at ebay, there's loads of all shapes and sizes for pennys. I've used loads over time, and have just used a few to add an air take off point to my P38, as well as extended breathers for wading. The ones you'll need are 6mm push-in. I also always carry a few feet of air hose and a couple of straight connectors in case a pipe fractures, whilst out and about, (as well as the laptop and EAS software).

If you have replaced the airbag then it comes with new fittings!

Afraid so! I'm a bit of a 'just in case' nut, and carry lots of bits and pieces. Not enough to rebuild the car I must add!:D The stuff in the garage drives the misses mad, but then she's always amazed and grateful when something breaks about the place, and I go "I've got one of those", or "I know just the thing".

Yeah, nothing wrong with being prepared.

I've never dismantled an air bag, but I'd guess it's a screw in fitting with a brass thread one end and the push in fitting the other. the screw in end is probably either 1/4" or 1/8" BSP, in which case these are under £2 on ebay!! If this is the case and you're unsure which size it is, £4 isn't too much to buy n' try. It's worth noting that the size references don't actually refer to the straight diameter of the fitting, 1/8 BSP is approx. 9.7mm diameter and 1/4 BSP is about 13.1mm. Of course if the whole thing is moulded into the air bag you're stuffed! and you're looking at another bag.

Opps! Scratch the whole replacement fitting debate, I've just been looking at some photos of air bags, and it seems clear they are moulded into the top of the bag. If you were sold the ones you have as in good condition I'd go back to the seller as they clearly aren't! and you need another one.

it aint brokeded, ive seen pictures of other new ones and they have the same semi circle missing i assume it may be for locating? could be wrong i dunno never change any... i bort it new and took it out the bag
