got my p38 back from cumbria land rovers yesterday. got everything fixed on it that needed done.
abs fault fixed,
key code lock out was due to the lock sensor faulty,
bad idle due to idle control valve broken,
and got it fully serviced due to low power which was,

plugs
plug leads
oil and filter
fuel filter
auto transmision filter and oil change

After all this it still has an hesitation when you give it throttle.
it does pull better with what they have done but still is no power house.
gives up when it comes to a hill.
anyone shead any light on the situation? i plugged it into a code reader tonight and it came up with p1038 which is o2 sensor circuit high volts ( bank 1 sensor 2). will this have anything to do with the hesitation or will it be something else? also which sensor will that be?
i dont run it on LPG anymore only on petrol.

Hi Gary,

Does it 'Bog down' when you go to set off? Thats what mine did when the O2 sensor/s needed replacing? I did them both together £60 each.

Also just had a recent problem with it having no power when setting off and at junctions/traffic lights. This on mine turned out to be the MAF sensor.

Oh mines a 4.0 petrol

Hope this give you something to check

Scott

thanks for that.plugged it into code reader again yesterday and came up with maf sensor fault and o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 2. Ill give it a shot and see what happenes. It does exactly what you said yours does.

Also remember that some venturi LPG units reduce the air flow capacity for incoming air. This has been suggested to reduce overall power (but mostly at high revs).
