Better with a 13 pin adaptor to double 7 pins if already fitted. 13 pin sockets are testable and failible on MOT 7 pin are not.
They can still fail on exposed conductors and on being cracked it's just the lamp operation for correct wiring that is checked on a 13 pin in addition.
That would come under general wiring condition or if the socket was obviously falling off by visual inspection. 13 pin are tested with a test plug 7 pin are not.
Presumably if you were to fit an incadescent bulb then the blinkers and sounders etc work fine..?Right. Stand by your beds. I've tidied the hair ball up that was my wiring and paid attention to individual grounding. I put a bulb across pin 1and earth with LH blinker on the go and the trailer icon blinked on the dash. Therefore the caravans LED blinkers must be presenting insufficient resistance for the monitoring to believe there's no Caravan blinker. I'm reluctant to leave it at that as enough stuff malfunctions without volunteering. I might put a redundant bulb Somewhere after the tow socket. But that's my feedback if it's of use to all who've helped me. Best regards Peter.
So in other words the 7 pin plug can fail on an MOT. Nice backpedal on your part.
Well I was going to tell you the answer to your problem but I aint now !You said a 7 pin wasnt failable on an MOT.
It is. You know that. You lied. End of now jog on and sniff some more of whatever the f*** it is you smoke when you are on here.

As long as there is no damage to the outer sheath and the socket is secure a 7 pin socket cannot be failed.
So by extension it can be failed. Unlike your previous lies.
Are you now trying to say it can't be failed for a problem with a 7 pin socket?
Make your mind up.
You clearly can't read. If it is hanging off, it can be failed under being generally unsafe. If the wiring is badly frayed it can be failed for being generally unsafe. If it doesn't make the trailer lights work it CANNOT be failed on a 7pin.Are you now trying to say it can't be failed for a problem with a 7 pin socket?
Make your mind up.
