If the fuse box smoked change it, make sure you get the correct one. No the fuse box should not get hot and smell of burning. Warm maybe but not hot. Where are you someone may be near who can run Nanocom on it? Many garage units unless they are very good will not diagnose a P38 diesel. You can be playing for ever guessing. You cannot maintain a P38 for Corsa prices.

Ill hav to see how much Fuse Box cost to replace.
Im in Aberdeen. Yes thats what I fear- that they might not be good enough to interpret the symptoms along with the Diags too give somethin meaningful. From experinece garages just plug in cars, get the results & give you them with not indepth thought in to what could be wrong.

The fuse box is a piece of p1ss to replace as long as you get the correct one ie, fuel, year etc. Diagnostic are only as good as the person operating the system. When I had a problem with mine the guy wanted to change every sensor that wasn't sending a signal. the sensors had feck all to do with the problem, so don't believe everything the diagnostics tell you.

My money is on a faulty quantity servo feedback pot. But he will not like to hear that. Would take five minutes to find out with a Nanocom.:D:D

I think Im on it, car started up fine tonight and had a look around things, when I shuggled the wiring that feeds in to the plug on side of FIP the symptoms were instant, so guess thats where the prob is, unless thats normal?
So will have a look at wiring and plug connections at earliest opertunity hopefully sometime this week. Question is - is there anything special about how you remove the square plug on side of FIP, looks like theres four screws holding on, anything there I need to be aware of?
