you'll might have seen this already but oxford from First Overland has been found and rebuilt.

Brought a warm feeling to my heart that's for sure
 
Sppoky. I just found a near mint copy of the original book they wrote in a local emporium of old books. With dust jacket and almost unread. Looking forward to a read tonight I is.
 
It's a great story. Got a first edition at home that's a prize of my collection
I picked up my copy at a bookstore today (see thread called a bit of light reading in this forum.) Could you have a look at my picture and tell me if it looks like yours?

I've had my copy for more years than I can remember. It's still in it's dust-cover depicting the two vehicles on a sand background with blue sky above with the name Tim Slessor at the top of the sand & a picture of the group brewing up behind both the LR's on the back cover. It's dated 1957 & published by George G. Harrap & Co Ltd.
