Finally after many set backs I am starting the trailer build.

Small caravan, series sympathetic, bed/settee, kettle.

Got the steel this week and picked up a few sheets of ply ready for chassis realignment and floor. Being totally aware of current regulations on self build trailers I am utilising the existing steelwork as doing anything else could end the world.
I have two bottles of steel stretcher from a small African village and will be soaking the chassis before gently pulling it into the correct dimensions.
So ere goes, the Sticle take on luxury lay-by squatting.

Should be back on it by next Wednesday. I’ll be growing the shackle bits and mounting some fixing points for the haxle.
Then it’s on to the outriggers.
Still having problems drilling out the spring eyes but will make an effort to sort them.

Managed a bit more today. Bolstering the bits that connect the chassis to the beak (the bit that pulls it all).
No photos I’m afraid as it’s all very secret at the moment or at least will be until such time as I can’t compromise my (original chassis refurbishment ) build, I mean restoration

Once ‘refurbished’ I can post the photos of the outriggers going on and the flip up tail as I think I can legally add these to the ‘original’ chassis. ;)

Been adding lots of brackets today and dumping as much weld round the spring hangery things as I dare. Then it’s onto the mill scale that isn’t present as it’s a refurb not a build.

The brackets will eventually hold the floor down with the aid of bolts and some large screwy inny things that sit inside the timber.

I’ll risk some pics once it’s had a coat of epoxy primer. :)
