After a sprint up the M1 I have discovered that my 2.25 diesels temp creeps well up towards the red when subjected to longer periods of speed.
I have noticed that the fan belt occasionally slips so thats going to be my first real port of call but I,m wondering if I may be looking at a blown head gasket as I seem to remember similar problems with a previous series 3.
BUT when I flipped the bonnet and had a gander I,ve noticed mucky water staining to the top of the radiator,the heater doesn,t work and I,ve just found that the overflow bottle is full to the brim!There is also a whiteish smoke on tick over.
Theres no mayo on the filler cap and if anything she needs a little oil to be full to the mark when cold
Any ideas what I should be looking at first please gentlemen?
