Great pics and thks for continuing sharing them with us

Wow mate as I must confess not had any dealing with egr getting blanked on engines that have the dpf fitted , guessing here as I wonder if that effects the regen , plus I assume the mot guy couldn’t see it blanked

Will u have to buy a lot of bits that are missing plse or is it just a pipe missing , happy to look at the parts bits to save u some time as of course all ur trying to do is carry on with the temp sensor error

Respect that ur still not smoking , know when I went from 40 plus per day over to a vape the first few days were the hardest but then my smell started to come back and then noticed food tasted better , just think of all the money ir saving mate

plus I wonder when the egr was blanked out to stop the light coming up of it can ever be effect other modules , of course I’m only guessing

Will in the mean time do some digging for u I to see what the general ideas are about what happens when there blanked so then it saves u some time

Once again thks for the update and look forward to see how u get on , nice that’s its supposed to be a nice bank holiday

Bless you mate, going to make sure I have all parts for egr before touching at all, bought a pierburg egr, cooler filter, gaskets etc, am suspecting dpf issue, although I believe a blocked cooler can cause similar issues with sooting up, am guessing it's unlikely to have been serviced will see
Good news fitted bumper, fired up, moved out of shop and back in no issues it seems though early days yet road test needed fingers crossed
Had two fault codes one for auxiliary coolent pump, got underneath give plug an extra push unmistakable click problem solved
Pedestrian protection fault l/h sensor, Oops hadn't plugged it in
All green across the board at this point, will see what happens after a good run
@gstuart shaun back 26th from US will give him a day or two and call him, workshop free
Have a good bank holiday all

Just took sport out today 80ish miles to coast sunny hunny in fact, bit of fast, slow, and stop/start can report no transmission overheating so far, previously could only do about 20 miles before gongs, in fact first and longest journey with no issues, so keeping fingers crossed, many thanks @gstuart for your help, @Stanleysteamer seems our surmising at start was actually spot on Lol, all the best
