Hi all,
I have a 1999 Disco 2 Td5, just lately its started to over rev on gear changes, when I release the clutch and put my foot down the revs climb normally up to around 2k then shoot up to around 3k and I either have to release the throttle or wait for the engine to 'catch up'.
It does this in all gears but does seem worse when the engine is cold. If I accelerate slowly it doesn't do it.
After a quick Google I was hoping it was the clutch switch but no joy. I'm guessing deep down it's the clutch but I'm hoping you guys may have a better (and cheaper ) idea.
Thanks in advance
Pete
