Out rigger bolt too short

Went to fit my newly purchased steps (GAL053) from Craddocks this morning, unfortunately I fell at the first hurdle. The front outrigger bolt when packed is too short to get any decent grip with the nut fastener. Is it a simple case of re-fitting a longer 200mm bolt?
Anyone else had a similar experience?
