engine, as above.
Almost any oil, new or old, but the thicker the better. If using old engine oil try to do it on gravel (or your neighbour's drive) as it stains like fury and can soften tarmac. Mind you it's a great weedkiller. Try not to get it on yourself. Cover up well and seriously consider a mask and goggles.
