ow boy,now i am more confused,i can't afford expensive ones at least not before 6 months, and rangie is dangerous to drive,my area is filled with decents and hard corners,it is wollowing alot,so cheap ones are not necessary bad according to wammers,i have my eyes on the britpart dynamic, the seller said they r a new technology different than the older britpart, they seem firm when i compressed them with my arms, dunno what to do now....

The damping qualities of a shocker are not measured in how hard they are to push in but in how hard they are to pull out. Also on any shocker that has been stored on it's side they must be exercised in their working attitude several times before fitting.

ok fitted the brits today,ow boy i can tell the ride has changed alot, dunno coz of innefective previous shocks,or good britpart???so far they r not bad these britpart, when he fitted the fronts the down retaining bolt and bushings,he fitted the metal washers with the lips holding the bushing, the opposite of rave, and the back ones he fitted them like in rave!!!the metal lip holds the bushing from both up and down, should i install like in rave or keep them like that?thank you

Fitted Britpart Dynamic shockers to mine about 3 years ago. About 30k miles and some gentle-ish off-roading and no problems so far. The ride is much firmer than standard and less body roll in on road cornering. Bit less comfortable on rough stuff, but less chance of seasickness on twisty roads. Upside & downside. Pays `ur money `n` makes `ur choice.
Can`t quite see what you mean about fitting but would suggest you go back to your garage and query it at least!

Exactly as u describe, sorry abt the word fitting i mean installed.the washer 'dish' has a lip,on the rear ones he installed the dish with the lip pointing outside the rubber,on the fronts the dish with the lip holding the rubber, than the nut is tightened.i querried abt it,he said it is the same result, and not 2 worry abt it.

I don`t know if it does make much difference which way up the washer dish is fitted, but for the sake of a few minutes with a socket and extension bar, why take a chance? Fit as per RAVE and as they say here "Roulez Relax!"

Re fit them the correct way around. Fitting them with cups inside will put excess strain on threaded stud. It may snap off in time.

yihaaaa,i fit them as per rave, now i am very happy driving my baby, she is steady and i can do corners fast now lol.steady on highway mode, steady on high mode, steady in standard mode, but crashy on uneven terrain with pot holes and bumps...(i can live with that comparing to my previous wallowing) just slow down on uneven terrains.i am happy with them and i recommend the britparts shocks if u accept a little of crashing over pot holes and small bumps.thank you gents.the ride is firm comparing to oem shocks, but no more sea sickness.
