Open door indicator stays on

I am having trouble with the open door indicator and interior lights coming on and off intermittently whilst driving. I have established that it is the rear door because when I stop and the car thinks a door is open, I just have to re-close the tailgate for the car to recognise that all the doors are closed.

Whenever i go over a bump the dash light comes on to say the rear door is open so I think the problem is a loose connection, or maybe the there is a switch that is not being activated when the door is closed?

Or the insulation on a wire gone and so making contact every now and then. (On bumps etc....)????

yes as uncle Willo say's [intermitant wiring fault] or door latch is faulty. . . . . .
