Interestingly enough ex liverpool captain mark wright said an old landrover and he was look for a fire extinguisher to put the fuel fire out. bit surprised the driver couldn't smell the fuel even when parked up.

If it was then that's the best thing that could have happened to it. There should have been 1399 gaylanders parked around it. Insurance claim would have been in the hundreds

Well he does drive a newish range rover do anything is old to him, including Sue who is actually his ex wife. You mean the paper's didn't pick up on that.
She lives down the road from me.

The vehicle in question....
The Classic has a pronounced 'curve' to the roof line, the one in the photo above is fairly flat....
The P38 doesn't have the shaped silhouette that can be seen at the top of the rear window....as the rear wiper and motor is tucked up under a small 'spoiler' type protrusion.....
The L322 does have a shaped silhouette at the top of the rear window for the rear wiper motor, but it is not quite that shape! It is more boxy....But the L322 has a flatter roof line....

Looks a bit L322 to me in the early photo where I think you can make out the reversing light and recessed number plate. Folded mirrors look familiar too.
Probably leaking cam covers or the front fan going into meltdown
Find out if my insurance goes through the roof next year, especially if the car park has to be rebuilt as well

The L322 will cost less than the P38 after this ... and still cost you 3 times as much to run.

+1... 1 cubic metre of LPG = 1000 cubic metres of gas.... it would only take one..

My friends wife's mate lost her car in the fire, her insurance said the venue is responsible for the damage and wont pay out. so far!

Reasonable, as the vehicle was on private property, but if the "mate is full comp then there's not a problem. Otherwise hopefully the car park owners have insurance to cover the loss thats expected, and will accept any genuine claims without to much hassle to the claimants in due course.My friends wife's mate lost her car in the fire, her insurance said the venue is responsible for the damage and wont pay out.

i think the vehicle in the picture is a Peugeot 806 or Citroen Synergie from the mid-90's though i don't think its the car in question as the car in question would have to have lost the bonnet. the flames are upright indicating a fire already underway, the interior of the car in question is not ablaze so i think the suspect zero vehicle is in the row in front of the car in question.

Madonna on gas Vogue. Must have been leaking petrol getting there though. Somebody had no sense of smell when parking up. Likewise if the LPG was faulty even the smell of rotten veg would be noticeable.

Surely you would need proof of ownership to submit a claim? Even if legit, they'll want to see a V5 to prove you had a 2016 Range Rover , rather than a 2003. I know they're council but i dont think even they will just accept the word of anyone who steps forward

They are asking for claimants to produce their parking ticket. Wonder If its to match to cctv.
