just about at the end of my tether. After many issues and many pounds. This one might break me.
EAS! Issue. After months of trying to solve a hard fault I 2 months ago I replace the Ecu despite expert advice this fixed it.
Last week noticed taking longer to get to ride height ok keep an eye on it.
This week prepping it for its mot replaced cv boot. Today won't rise. Flashing light never reached height bump stops shaky ride.
When turned off and key out I can hear valve block clicking trying to level.
Tried tripping compressor using relay jump nothing clicks no running.
Check over temp and pressure sensors as per rsw OK.
Removed compressor ran on 12volt battery good pressure on outlet but can't understand hold back air with thumb.
Put back now runs! Still no lift
Yes checked doors shut and the foot brake isn't on.
Any ideas? Anyone local to Brum?
 
Try putting air compressor on main feed to reservoir? Put Schrader valves on airlines to bags to see if air lines are ok? Exhaust ok at back axle? On mine, the exhaust had melted pipe over back axle.
 
So, just to clarify.. are you getting good pressure on the compressor pump ?

Have you done a valvle block refurb ? this kit is about £30 and will take about an hour of your life. ?

If you run the compressor you shouldn't be able to block the air coming out where the blue pipe connects with reasonable pressure with your thumb. If you can then the seal in the compressor piston is worn and the piston and seal need replacing. Should be about £15 off eBay. When you run the compressor off the car you bypass the thermal switch (diagnostics does the same). If thermal switch is fried it will not run on the car. Assuming compressor is all good then it'll take about 10 minutes with the doors open to fill the reserve tank. If it still won't lift after that then you need to start looking for leaks. At this stage the emergency inflation kit (having pulled the delay timer relay) can be of great help - especially if you don't want to wear your compressor out finding the leak. I also have a little pressure guage. Most of the chinese tat on eBay I wouldn't touch with a barge-pole. I inherited a load and it was leaking so bad I couldn't find my leak! In the end I got decent stuff for very little money from Activ-Air. They make parts for trucks and the aero-industry so decent stuff.

Kurt Johnson is near you in. He's pretty handy with EAS stuff.
 
Thanks guys. Yes at the end of my tether. It was on shrader valves for 7 months last time it went wrong faulted as didn't bypass ecu. so I bought nanocom but could not connect to EAS. Eventually bought Ecu which it fixed problem now this. Yes Saint V8 gave it a good twenty minute journey then sat running for another 15. Later return journey and half an hour on my drive nothing.
Oakley as I say ran on valves bags pipes all no leaks at all as stayed pumped for weeks. Not checked axle will look when light thanks.
West coast Rovers Coils? Tempted but think some owners would lynch me and the point of these is the ride! I'm told!
Ukadamwest. Seems to be good pressure put me finger over outlet took plenty of force to stop/slow air but I could feel pump slow when I really held it. Don't have a standard to judge on that though.
 
Ok.

So when it went 'tango uniform' last time on schrader valves it held pressure..

assuming that nothing has changed between the valve block and the air bags, you either have a weak compressor or the valvle block is getting worn. the o-rings in it can harden and the diaphram can start to decay.

the EAS is an inherently simple system. assuming you have no leaks from the pipework to the air bags, easily checked by the pump over running to feed a leak and the car settling down on one corner if it's one airbag or a line.

First step is as Grrr says, get a piston overhaul kit. again its very simple its a simple piston on a crank with a reed valve the creates the pressure cheap and simple to overhaul. once you have good positive pressure get a valve block overhaul kit.

You have no air. Look at the tech archives and follow the instructions in my How To. That is what it's there for.
 
Can you put a tee piece and Schrader valve on main feed to reservoir and see if the system works to get to height?
 
OK update time. Concluded compressor issue so this am took it just a couple of miles to a guy who has a breakers he had a second hand refurbished unit. Irony it actually lifted OK before I got there!
Guy tried swapping compressor but both old and new(ish) compressors were intermittent started tracing wires as suspected earth issue. While there he put it on textbook but while every other system was fine it couldn't communicate with the EAS (which is another issue I've been having never got my nanocom to talk to EAS even though that's why I bought it).
Conclusion replaced valve block with an old spare he had and replaced compressor with another spare unit. No comms with any diagnosis but at least I got it to rise tonight.
 
Sounds like a wiring issue if you had the same problem before and replaced the ecu only for it to return.
