5w40 is too thin for our climate. You may as well put 3in1 in it. Personally if i had a motor with over 100,000 on the clock i would put 20w50 in it + some Wynns or STP to help fill the gaps up.

I would have loved some 10w60 edge for my short trips and thick at the top for helping my old engine but at £35+ for 4ltr its too pricey for my old girl!

I would put it in my BMW but where that had actually been looked before I got it it is like brand new inside the engine at 103k miles. Now why dont all people treat engines properly!
