Oil pressure switch, part number

I have bought a spin-off oil filter holder which I was told came from rover engine fitted in Leyland taxi. The oil pressure switch that is fitted to my series doesn't fit, am I correct in assuming that the later 2.5 engine press switch will fit?

I fitted a similar filter holder from a 2.5NA Engine.

The switch thread was M10x1 which is a metric fine type. The earlier Series switch was an Imperial Whitworth thread, although I forget exactly which.
