I have a 2007 Range Rover sport 147k I’ve noticed recently that when I start it from cold the oil light takes about 3 seconds to go out which is the same with a top engine tapping

Hello and thank you for your reply is there a time scale of life span of the pump ??

All i know is there are lots of cases of the oil pump going and taking out the turbos or the whole engine, it needs sorting and quick as both cases cost thousands to sort, others on here know more than me about these engines.

Don't mess about with oil issues on the TDV6, as it's marginal when working correctly.
Any delay in oil pressure needs investigating ASAP, as the engine is known to suffer oil starvation induced crank failure.
It's very common, and very costly to fix, often rendering an older vehicle as scrap for parts.
