I have a Oil Leak coming from the top of 300 tdi
engine running down the side and drip drip
on the drive now i know it wont be long before
the wife notices this a has a go what would be
the cost of getting this fixed at a landy garage

Real Newbee OK I know how to check the engine oil
but what about the oils diff gearbox etc how do i check
these ....................

Not looked at a 300tdi engine but at a guess it'll be your rocker cover and at anoother guess it wouldn't be to difficult to do and guessing even more wouldn' be that expensive. You could just wait untill someone who knew what he was talking about came along.

Would agree with Grunt but also check and clean the black oilbreather and pipes between injectors 2\3 as they are prone to leak if blocked.-----BB

To check diffs etc, undo the filler plug, and if oil isn't visible at the same level as the top of the filler, it needs toped up.

I always try and park at an angle to suit each component so I can get a little extra in.
