I had exactly the same problem. Up where we are, I think the salt gets in and corrodes between the pump’s three ‘cylinder heads’. I rebuilt my pump with a £20 or £30 kit, but it leaked again. I had to resurface/clean the heads and it worked the second time. It’s not a loose bolt problem.Silly question
The pump only leaks on cold start and from top plate that's got 4star screws. Has any one ever tightened then and leak stopped or is that a bad idea if there torqued to setting????
It's 100% leaking from top plate on hp fuel pump where 4star head screws are
Omg how strange is that I just ordered from them just now and tool of eBay to remove pump lolI dot mine from here

Am going to get a old unit and see how hard it is to fit seals
All get it tested to see if all good. Use to work in oil company working in assembly
So use to working with this items and shear screws but been years since I stripped and 're sealled parts.
Just curious if I can plus can take time working with it
Well I going to get spare pump from scrappy and strip down and put new seals in to see how easy it is. Will get it tested after so have spair on shelf.just in case I buy a off road freelander .jisr need to butter up misses before I just turn up we one lolThere's a video on the site I linked which shows exactly what is done and how. The seals in the Bosch pump are easy to change.
The pump seals last 120K miles or about 10 years. I personally can't see the point in keeping a spare, that will only degrade in storage.Well I going to get spare pump from scrappy and strip down and put new seals in to see how easy it is.
