Oil leaking out the end of axle!

Hi eveyone! i have just come back from toms farm (amazing place

), when i parked my range rover classic on the night it was on a bit of a slant, i woke up to find oil had leaked out the side of the axle casing by the wheel, is this oil seals in the diff or is it just a gasket in the hub, cheers, stu

First check that your axle breather is clear.

Had the same with my V8. If your playing in deep water and mud, would recommend wading kit if you don't already have one. Sound's like the half shaft seal has gone, they are only a couple of quid and dead easy to replace, the diff fills with water or the breather blocks up with s**t and pressure blows the seal. Not necessarily a problem either as long as you keep the diff topped up regular, depends on how much you use it.
