could be the gear box rear seal considering the oil colour

That is from the intermediate shaft "O" rings in the transfer box.
No second guessing on that, very common, what has happened is that the transfer box is worn and the gears are chattering and have flattened the O rings and starting to oval the casing.

Looks like mine exactly with worn intermediate shaft.
I'm going to tap Ashcrofts for a sleeved casing later this year.

oil colour looks like g/box as in atf, we were the first to sleeve t/box cases in the 90s

+1 looks like ATF, so gearbox rear seal I suspect, not T box.
And Land Rover's don't leak, they just mark their territory......!!
