Oil in rear hub cap

Thanks for the help in this thread. I seem to have the 10 spline shafts and I believe the oil was coming from around the felt washer....at least I can't see anywhere else where the oil could be coming from? Anyways, replaced the felt washer thingy, tightened up and new pin. Fingers crossed

The axle breather seemed to be ok - at least there was no crap around it and it spun readily in my fingers so I am assuming air can get in / out.

The collar that spun freely is just a dirt shield, there is (iirc) a ball bearing inside the breather that siezes. Un-screw the breather and shake it to see if you can hear the ball bearing rattle and try to blow through it both ways to see if it is blocked or not.
 
Whipped the axle breather off. All seemed fine - ball bearing moves fine and I could blow through it from either end.

Now how do I get that ep80/90 off my lips :doh:
