All I want is the oil changed and a general look around. I have f£&@ all patience or the equipment to do what I want. If the oil plug wasn't so f£@@ing tight I would do it as explained in my first post, I would. So spare me the posh tart comment dick wad

why dont you buy a breaker bar and a decent 17mm socket , put vehicle jack between axle and chassis and lift body some ?youve then got the gear for next year then

I do mine to the correct torque every time , no probs, 2 many heavy handed people doing ,DIY>I did say unless you were
just making the point there known to try to rip you off, if you have a local garage thats got a good reputation give them a ring for a quote...I think I would give it another go (sometimes you can get so ****ed off with a job walk away then come back and do it) but if it gets to the point where you feel something is gonna go wrong take it to a garage and let them pay the repair bill if they bugger it up, if they did strip the thread they would be able to repair it using a sump plug repair kit.
