the pipe leads into the air filter and it is caking the air filter in oil.
does any one know what could be causing this ?? please help cause me misses is gonna make me sell it soon if it dont stop leaking over the driveway :( :p

any help appreciated

insert the breather pipe into a container, tied up somewhere convenient. (plastic bottle?) (coke tin?).
and empty it once a week. save you buying airfilters every month.

cheers bud ive been told most of the old 2.5td do it is this true or is it something to worry about ?

any high mileage engine will do it to some degree. just a sign of old age. reminding you that a general overhaul is due sooner or later.
flushing with thin oil and then changing the oil and filter proper may help to clear any galleries blocked.

You can put a small choke into the pipe, the purpose of this hose it to take any fumes that escaped from the cylinder and burn them, gases need only a small hole, whereas oil will require a larger hole to get through.

That will sort the problem and stop oil getting through to the air system, or just take the pipe clean off and don't bother about burning off the excess.
