Hi , my name is Paul . I am from Essex , And NO , I am not a stereotypical Essex boy .
I bought a 2005 TD4 HSE .
Been getting sound advice of this site for a long time now , because I fooked up and bought a dog of a car with a dubious history ...
But finally decided to join . Maybe I can give something back ?
Though maybe all the members I have taken advice off have gone and moved up to freelander 2's by now or Discovery sports ?

I have a series 2 also . I plan to restore it yet again for the third time in the 20 years I have had it .

But many of you will hate what I have done with my freelander . I have made it less off road . H&R springs , monroe gas shocks , Superpro poly urethane bushes .
It's sits lower . Like a Range Rover evoque does . The handling is superb , especially compared it to the standard Freelander .
I don't want an off road vehicle ,If I wish to go greenlaning I'll use my 1960 series 2 . Though I never do .
I want a all weather vehicle . One that doesn't wobble about at any erratic movement and one that can handle flash floods and snow and ice .

I have just modified my TD4 to suit me .

I hope I am welcome here ...

Best regards .

Paul ...
