Hi folks ,
New poster, and as of this Thursday owner of what I think doh are two series III 88'' Land Rovers.
You will no doubt be familiar with too many beers + eBay = Waking up with dreadful realisation of what you did the night before!
So I am now the proud owner of two (what I think are) series III Landy's.
First one is an 88'' hardtop / Van , second one is a pickup with no cab
The first one is apparently not a million miles from being roadworthy, although I doubt this to be true as they have sat on a drive for 6 years!
Second one is a basketcase.
I have put a couple of awful pics below that may give you a better idea.
Landy Hard top
Landy no top! (note the corrugated iron acting as a cab roof )
For these two fine specimens I paid £320 + £40 trailer hire to get them home.
I have committed to buying them regardless, even if I call the local scrap man to take them away. The owner tells me that they are both tax exempt, one is petrol and the other is diesel (he cant remember which is which) and both had recon engines months before being dumped on the drive.
I appreciate that large parts of both of these are likely to have been eaten by rust, but as I need to move them initially, is there anything that is likely to have seized to stop me winching them onto a trailer ?
Many thanks
Simon
