Off road navigation using electronic OS maps

Hi all,
I have been using a Hewlett Packard travel companion loaded with OS memory maps for my off road navigation, unfortunately this has now finally packed in.
Can any one recommend a device that would be suitable as a replacement? I'm thinking of something 7" tablet sized with built in GPS.

I just use a normal smart phone with the OS Maps app and an annual subscription to get 1:25 and 1:50k maps of the uk...

iPad and Memory Maps for me

Tesco Hudl with MemoryMapTracker app ..

I bought a Samsung SM-T230 just for this and walking using Memory Map, I like the 7" screen beter than a phone but it still goes in my pocket, its fine nice to have the built in GPS positoner on the map but there is no built in compass
