anyone been off roading at bayness farm off road centre at robin hoods bay, north yorkshire? what did you think?

i would go back but not in something i liked, i would get an old cheapy disco or something as i went there 2003 in a mint metalic Greg 3.9i classic vougeSE, didnt drive home in it, they used their tractor to pull it over onto its wheels after an end over end excursion, it died there. and i live in essex, south essex bring on one way hire.

Yep at the time my main car was a Jeep Grand Cherokee that's why I bought and old SJ it cost a fortune in repairs to keep it road worthy, after every off road trip it would consume hugh amounts of time and money to get it ready for the next event, after that trip we the carb froze up after it went thru the sheep dip I mentioned and we struggled to get back to Newcastle some 90 miles away from Robin Hoods bay. But still a fun day. In fact all of my Off roading trips have been Fun and unforgettable for various reasons.

90 miles! i had to get 250 without a motor at all, all of a sudden its gone, can you imagine how it felt?
one minute your amazed as to how easy a range rover can handle such rough terrain and take you down a motorway in leather seats with cruise control with the air con going at 80mph, then, in the blink of an eye and a hill to far, its gone, you climb out and walk away from it upside down!!!
complete devastation, part of my soul being ripped out! pride and joy destroyed in seconds! and people say "what you do that for" !!!

still now i got a better one, and its got friends.
it aint going to robin hoods bay (well it has but not off road centre) so i need an old dizzy, 2 door i fancy, what you think, petrol or diesel?

Going up there next weekend as it's YORC annual trial and camping weekend. My old Avatar was a pic of me there last year at the top end near the seesaw.

do you know the 3 big hills round the back, the one to the right has a change of direction a little way up, bend to the left?
