What about the "secret government bunker" in 'Beris is that accessible

The art treasures weren't at LLanberis - they were stored at Manod
Quarry, near Blaenau Ffestiniog.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/north_west/4666237.stm

The quarry at Llanberis, at SH 571 611 was used to store
munitions. There was a roof collapse, and a load of bombs were buried.

It's a long time since I was last there. I have hear rumours that the
fence has been fixed recently. There were also plans to turn the
quarry into a snow dome with rotating real snow slopes.

which still seem to be progressing.

There are pages on the "bomb store" at

Well looks like a goer ...

"At the moment, all of our accommodation is available on those dates.
The 6 berth static van is £100 for the weekend. The bunkhouse is £8
p.p.p. night. Camping is £4 p.p.p. night. There are hot showers and
toilets. We serve breakfast and evening meals in the inn."

Just wait on an update from Austin re the Eectric mountain then I think we
may have a plan.

not heard anything yet. However I think the person concerned was away from
the office 'til yesterday, so I reckon they've probably got a backlog of
stuff to deal with.

Ok, heard from Dot Lamb:

Re: tour numbers -

Hello Austin Shackles
The weekend of 28th/29th October is in the school half term break and will
be very busy
So please book as soon a possible - minimum numbers do not apply for this
period

Re: sprogs -

Hello Austin Shackles
Children must be able to wear the safety helmets underground - if they fit
and the child is willing to keep them on then that is OK
If they don't fit (too large) then one parent can stay on the bus with the
child and only miss part of the tour
Hope this helps

Regards
Dot Lamb

I presume they have small sized helmets - it'd lose too much trade if no
anklebiters got to do it.

So, if we want to do it, then numbers and booking reasonably pronto would be
a good thing, I should think.
