Disco 2 OBD Plug Relocation

The fascia plate that the OBD port should be connected in to has gone and the port is currently wrapped around some other cables behind the drop down cover. Not an issue in itself, but a pain having to drop the cover down and rummage around to untangle the OBD port each time I need to use it. So, has anyone extended and relocated their OBD port somewhere else in their TD5 so it's really easy to connect a diag reader?

I've taken off the cardboard kick plate as the diagnostic socket always disappeared behind it and just left the socket dangling. It's well ot of the way even with my size 12s.
