Hi, I'm looking ofr some advice with a 1989 110 I bought 2 weeks ago. The 110 has been fitted with a 200tdi engine. The last job I need to do before the MOT is sort out a problem with the power steering. The symptoms are as follows:
The steering sticks when turning right but is ok when turning left. It's as if there is are stiff spots every 180deg turns of the steering wheel.
I have carried out the following:
All ball joints have been checked for play.
Steering damper has been removed.
All UJ's have been oiled.
The belt isn't slipping.
Fluid level is ok.
System has been bled.
I'm looking for any help identifying whether the problem is likely to lie with the pump or steering box.
The Landy has been stored for two years prior to me buying it.
Thanks for any help or advice.
Garry
