Don't mean to be a pain but there is a Rangey 4.0 HSE auto on a P reg for sale and you have probably been asked this before.
is there anything I should look for before getting rid of my 50th anniversary freelander. it looks pretty clean no roof lining sag interior looks good etc
what could I expect to the gallon is there any major engine probs I should be aware of etc etc
Many thanks in advance for your time guys
Paul

There is an endless list somewhere if you do a search. Slipped liners and HGF feature for starters.
14mpg
A diesel would be less unreliable and more economical.

It's a bit of a change of car from a freelander !

I know as I did the same !

Moved up from my freelander td4 to my L322, what a difference :)

The main difference is that the range rover is a lot more costly to run !
But there worth the trouble and costs :)

Thanks Gents
so its a no then I am pretty handy mechanically but getting on a bit now so don't fancy dragging that V8 lump of pig iron out to repair it.
So its a P38 diesel then, I do understand the difference between the freelander and I know the rangey wont be cheap to run but most of the repairs running gear brakes etc etc would not be a problem I even understand the air suspension is not too difficult to maintain as I see there are plenty of used parts available. so I shall keep looking as the freelander is running ok for now.:crazy_driver:

Got a 4.0 se and love it. Getting about 18 mpg at the mo but converting it to gas so be much cheaper soon! Sounds awesome!
