Dunno what year yours is but if it's a post-99 with 4 wheel TC, he should road test the car with a decelerometer to test the brakes unless he has a four roller brake test set up (unlikely) which means he would have seen the light go off.

Don't you have to drive above 7 mph to extinguish the ABS lamp?
5 MPH 7 km/h but near enough.
If no four wheel brake test rig, all years should be tested with the Tapley meter. How many wheels have TC is irrelevant.
