Interesting to look through the figures. Don't think the Association of Land Rover Clubs will like it much in the trialer somehow I don't think It'll pass as having an LR part number!

Team wrecking lol probably true last year as 2 cars
Hydrauliced their engines. This year had a poor entry for the that reason. This year it had to be entertaining and a we did alright me thinks was a good event! I think the same guys as last year won simon in leicester club if I remember correctly but the new team (very nice guys too right old laugh) were a couple of seconds away. Although I was counting them in I never saw the combined times so could be wrong! One car did get hurt but on the steepest climb right hand down being pulled left full throttle the front end gave hopefully he got it sorted for the comp today.

All in all was good!!

Bit more inspiration to get mine done right once and seeing how some people build cars was an eye opener handbrake with a tiny shackle a bit of wire rope and some clamps poor guy who paid good money for it was left trying to get it through scruteneering.

We started the team wrecking tag back in the 80's. The National was at a sand quarry in Leighton Buzzard and boy did it rain you couldn't get from section to section on the trial never mind do the section, There was 6 inches of mud in the beer tent.
Well on the team recovery Drew Bowler and myself drew the short straw and went first, both in 86" leafers driven there on the road. Still pi&&ing down we made our plan, Drew set off first into the water and vanished, just a bit of the cage out the water.
It took ages to get him out.

Trial the day after which was just like 12 team recoverys and we didn't do the comp, spent all day doing repairs so we could drive home.

We did win the Team Wreck at Ledbury a couple of years latter.

I have just stopped for lunch. I have been making some panel work this morning for around the engine. I will post on my thread latter.
Off down the workshop now to make another panel, though I think the Mrs has other plans.

The Mrs always has other plans!! I Guess that national was run by our lot Anglian, Mr Flanders. I threw trogether a Tamiya rc car for his little lad to play with at the nationals.

Well work has been going on although probably looks a backwards step but we have removed the wings and rear body completly, Battery, fuel tank and roll cage to assess the rear cage mounts as they were not up to std so hopefully a good day tomorrow we can get the cage mounted 100% welded to the chassis and then start on making some angle frames to fit the ali body panels to.
