Northern Europe Trip - Scandinavia via the Baltics

Site of the Battle of Grunwald; largest medieval battle in Europe.

Soviet reservoir?



Public campsite near Tuja, Latvia. Ended up staying here for a couple of days after meeting some people of the free spirited variety. They fed us for two days in exchange for beer.

Sunset over the Baltic Sea



Estonia to Finland (Tallinn to Helsinki)








Asked a local farmer for a spot to camp for the night, he first offered us a patch on a field near his farm, only to come back 5 minutes later and take us down to his lake cabin. He said we could use the cabin but we thought him offering the spot was more than enough and used the tents. Plenty of beers for this man.










Sweden bound (Vaasa to Umea)



Found a great little spot in a restricted area just under the ships bridge. Front row seats for the full 4 hour ride. While the others enjoyed a band below, I sat here to take in and appreciate where I was.





With 4 of us on the trip, things started to get a bit hectic in the back.
























Old boat house that we took cooked/took shelter in on a wet evening. The old launch rails still in place. Pretty cool.





A lot of Norways mountain roads and bridges have been rebuilt over the years however the old roads and bridges are sometimes still in place. Much more of an interesting drive.





Ferry back to Dover from Dunkirk. Being in a tall vehicle has its advantages; first off the ferry.

Nice one, thanks for the pics... Def given me itchy feet. I've been doing road trips around Europe for years but usually Switzerland, Germany and in a lotus not a landy... Really can't wait to away again... Looks like you had an amazing time, Norway looks awesome... Would you mind if I pm you to ask you some questions about it?
