North Yorkshire Lanes

You will have to forgive the spelling etc but I'm using my phone lol but in short (ish) went to do the lane found an abandoned slitty on the lane stuck in a wall , stood around deciding what to do when 2 blokes turned up said it was a mates , they had fuel and a tyre iron ( for the flat tyre) we offered to help move it so we could use the lane , I went round to top of the lane to winch it up and away from the wall n Lowey went up to pull it back down ,I drove down the lane that had a few walls knocked down ( we now know the slitty had done it the night before) got to the car ready to start moving it as the bloke came walking up the lane
He said he was off to have a word with his mate who was walking down the lane behind me after showing us the way round to top of the lane, they chatted for a min up the lane then started walking off , we shouted after em and they legged it :-S as they had spotted the police driving along the road towards bottom of the lane ,
Next thing we know the police cleared everyone off the bottom of the lane so Lowey reversed out too, so I was stuck unable to back up ,
After talking to the officers I was told the slitty was going no where for a while till they could have it recovered (a few weeks) leaving me with one option , after trying to reverse up the lane and picking up a few dents the police came back out ( guessing due to farmer not liking us using some of the destroyed wall as infill )
We where then asked if we could remove the vehicle ,To which we said sure , but they unfortunately couldn't get confirmation to allow us to move it ,
so the police left and magically the slitty vanished off the lane and appeared on the layby and I was able to continue forward .

Heh, nice to know some police are almost sensible .. ;)

Shame there superiors couldn't just give the nod we where stood round freezing for a good few hours , we could of move it in 30 mins , but thankfully god or the fairys or who ever felt bad for us and it magically moved ;-)

Dunno if it was nicked but it was illegal no tax or such , but they had been ripping up local lanes te night before causing alsorts of damage to property
 
Not head n e thing from everyone figured you all might of got that bug that's going round n died :-D
 
I've had 2 requests for a trip for new years eve if anyone's up for it altho I don't doubt plenty of ppl will have plans :)
