Hi all, I've just read the thread. I'm hoping to get to Driff show and I'll keep my eyes peeled for any laning trips in East Yorkshire. I've never done laning but have wanted to for ages. I've got a standard Disco 1 300 TDi. Might be able to get my hands on some M/Ts if needed. Cheers.

I should add, the previous owner prepped it for a trip to Morocco so it has uprated bushes/de-cat/de-EGR'd.

hmmm,well i cant say out can i after i got stuck in lake at parkwood,and that water wasnt moving,it looks to be flowing fair fast,and then on top of that ya can never tell whats on the bottom,he looks to drop a fair bit bowt a third of way in no traction whatsoever...i have noticed a few drivers drive higher up in order to make it to the exit they need,and the fast flowing water pushes them to where they need to be in order to get out,,,it certainly can be a fine art,and harder than it may seem at times,

da ya think it ran when he got it out,only thing that dint work after my landy sunk was the amp behind seat for radio...quite amazing really as the fuses are fair low,mind you i never have my loghts on when wading either,
 
just got myself an o/s map of pateley bridge area.. looks to be a fair amount of lanes where were goin... just had a quick look...

cant wait for next sat and sunday at parkwood...

might have a mattress on mi roof rack though.. could be handy if the terrain gets a bit rough... boss wants me to deliver it to a caravan site in pateley... very odd....

nice one sounds good,cant wait...if ya mark on the map were we go ,how ya gona manage that,i surley wouldnt be able to remember,and i aint good enough to do it and drive at same time
 
do you want me to bring my maps so you all can copy lanes down ive just orderd another 2 maps for east coast and wensleydale they were only £4.80 o/s land rangers
 
cool joe... ive only got the two but might get some more next week... think ya put a list on ere of the maps you got... whats the map for the holmfirth lanes??
 
yeh cheers joe that would be good,ime getting some maps,...bet i strugle to follow them though...l.o.l am sticking in middle or back closing any gates,,and just following you lot,if i was infront we would end up in devon or wales
