joking apart, the first boggy section is ridiculous

all vehicles need floatation tyres fitted to make any sensible progress, and its 99% winching motion

im gonna have to backfill the hole that john made back in before trying to get through it

im reasonaby confident with more knowledge now and revised tactics/route i'll be able to make sensible progress through the first section

ideally i'd like mike my chainsaw mate in attendance for trimming stumps in the path we have chosen

steve, i wouldnt go up there without someone who has been up it before, and you need 300ft, ideally 350/400, of extension line minimum between you

cheers

I think I recognise that lane. Pretty sure there were some photo's in LRO back in the day of Tim Webster winching the old LRO 90 through the bog. IIRC, he called the lane 5 mile Island (or something similar).

i,ve been up a couple of times with my night work being a bit slow at the moment i,ve used where john finished plowing to start a drainage channel to one side. i,ve also open'd up a drainage channel at the bottom section, i've also towed a log so far along the track. plan is to place in that section that keeps on battering everybodys roofs.
but at the moment it is very wet up there. so pig lane is still undefeated so its record still holds 15 years. plus somebody's gone and got his tratter stuck up there.

right junes dates for pig lane will be friday the 26th june to monday the 29th june its wild camping weekend so basha's,pop tents as you don't want to be driveing back out of these lanes to where ever you've booked. recommened, each to bring a bag of logs, i,ve got a huge pig joint on order with those sausage's you like'd john,
this will be a whole weekend job meeting up friday evening, afternoon to do some more gentle stuff on saturday then onto pig lane sunday/monday to give us enough time to get over the lane & do lane maintenance where needed. (also required strops, shackles, ropes, hilifts, saws, good boots, wellies, land anchors,)if you want to know what your on read the earlier pages.
